In response to "Milstein's not the same

Bob she remembers," Feb. 16

Among Oakee Parkee's magnificent mob

I found our illustrious Trustee Bob.

Is there a monetary reward

For seeing him at the village board?

You can watch and hear him on TV cable

A twinkle in his eye at the horseshoe table.

I agree he's open-hearted and warm

A sense of helpful humor is his form.

Supportive and spreading caring cheer

That's our trustee, this non-elusive dear.

Shall we call Ethel's letter a desperate act

Not to be confused with finding fact?

Rumor has it a ghost writer did this dastardly deed

And hoodwinked Lady Ethel to plant the sarcastic seed.

Has smoke clouded issues for partisan folk

Perhaps it's rose-colored glasses reflecting a joke.

A "feel good survey" from village staff's made-to-order mold

My neighbors, friends, small businesses have yet to be polled.

Residents' answers to tough questions remain

Whiteco, TIF, demolition, higher taxes cause pain.

I await my prize in New Leadership Party's space

That's 405 South Boulevard, our candidates' base.

At that address, greet Robert Milstein, please knock

And meet Baker, Marsey, Patchak-Layman and Brock.

April 5 is the election date

Vote for the NLP's selected slate.

Brochures, buttons, yard and window signs, take note

For these and precinct information, call 660-VOTE
