Julian Middle School in Oak Park to perform "Charlotte's Web"

Students in Julian Middle School's CAST program will perform "Charlotte's Web", a musical based off of the popular E.B. White book.

The musical, which includes more than 50 actors and 15 crew members, is CAST's showcase performance.

"It's really fun to be able to go back to it and introduce it to new people, maybe kids who don't know the story," said Bill McGlynn, CAST program director at Julian Middle School.

McGlyn said the musical's large cast allows both major and minor characters to have solos throughout the performance.

"It's really fun because it brings out a different characteristic in you," said Meagan Shinker, a 7th grade Julian student playing the role of "Fern". "It's fun to really connect with a different person."

Catch CAST's performance at Julian Middle School on Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
