Man attacked and robbed on Lombard

A man walking northbound on Lombard from Washington was approached by three unknown offenders who asked for spare change. When the victim responded that he had no money, two of the suspects surrounded the victim, knocking him down and kicking and punching him. The offenders removed the victim's wallet and a black messenger bag and fled on foot, southbound on Harvey. Estimated loss was $30.

Illegal consumption by minors

Two juveniles were cited for hosting an underage drinking party at a residence on the 1500 block of Jackson in River Forest on Feb. 13. One was additionally charged with underage consumption. The homeowners were away on vacation.

Aggravated domestic battery

Jonathan G. Ford, 29, of 1028 Washington, was arrested at his home and charged with aggravated domestic battery and held for bond hearings. A court hearing is scheduled 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18.

Domestic battery

Patrick E. Morrisey, 28, of the 1200 block of N. East Ave., was arrested and charged with domestic battery for an incident that took place at his home on Feb. 8.

Frankie Adams, 41, of 806 S. Taylor, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery at his home on Feb. 12. Adams was processed and held for bond hearings.

Theft

An unknown offender removed a wallet, containing credit cards, debit cards, and identification, and a Fuji digital camera from an unattended bag left hanging on the back of a chair at the Caribou Coffee Shop at 423 N. Harlem on Feb. 8. Estimated loss is $257.

An unknown offender was seen cutting a bicycle lock with a bolt cutter outside Starbucks at 7201 Lake in River Forest on Feb. 13 and leaving the scene with a red mountain bike. A Starbucks customer observed the suspect, who was described as 20 years old, 5-feet-8, and medium build. The witness said the suspect left the scene headed southbound on Harlem.

Retail theft

An unknown offender described as male, 30-40 years old, 6 feet tall, medium build with a full beard, was observed stealing two DVDs from the Borders Bookstore at 1144 Lake in the late morning on Feb. 9. Estimated loss is $15.

Two unknown suspects removed a pair of men's Jordan Retro gym shoes from the counter of Diana Shoes at 4 Madison on Feb. 7. The two offenders fled the scene on foot and were last seen headed eastbound. Estimated loss is $200.

Burglary to motor vehicle

An unknown person removed a Dewalt hand drill and canvas bag containing pliers and wrenches from a white 2000 GMC Savana parked at the building at 815 N. Taylor Feb. 8-9. Estimated loss is $500.

An unknown offender broke the window of a gold 2006 Lexus GX470 SUV parked on the 300 block of Lake on Feb. 9 and removed a black canvas Nike backpack containing ID, a wallet, and school supplies. Estimated loss is $480.

An unknown offender broke into a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero parked on the 1100 block of Clarence Feb. 13-14 and removed a black Tom Tom GPS unit and an in-dash faceplate Pioneer stereo. Estimated loss is $500.

An unknown person removed a catalytic converter from a 2005 Hyundai parked in a parking garage at 3 Erie Ct. on the morning of Feb. 11. Estimated loss and damage is $1,825.

An unknown offender removed a catalytic converter from a 2009 Hyundai parked in the parking garage at 3 Erie Ct. on Feb. 9. Estimated loss is $400.

An unknown person removed a catalytic converter from a 2009 Hyundai Accent parked in the parking garage at 2 Erie Ct. on the afternoon of Feb. 9. Estimated loss is $400.

Residential burglary

An unknown offender entered an apartment located on the 100 block of Pleasant Place and removed $50 in cash from the kitchen table. The victim reported the front door may have been unlocked at the time of the burglary.

Burglary to garage

An unknown person gained entry to a garage on the 700 block of Woodbine Feb. 2-12 and removed a blue and pearl colored Cannondale Delta V500 bike. Estimated loss is $940.

Possession of a stolen motor vehicle

Three 14-year-old males from Chicago were arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle on the 1100 block of N. Ridgeland on Feb. 11. The juveniles were processed and turned over to their parents.

Criminal damage to property

An unknown male driving a 2011 Dodge pickup truck was seen throwing rocks at the windshield of a white 2000 Lexus RX300, parked at 12 W. Madison on the evening of Feb. 9. Estimated loss due to damage is $100.

An unknown offender poured large quantities of an unknown substance, believed to be sugar, into the gas tank of a 2007 Chrysler on the 1500 block of Park Ave. in River Forest Feb. 7-9.

These items were obtained from police records filed by the Oak Park and River Forest police departments Feb. 7-14. Not all incidents that occurred are listed. Anyone named in reports has only been charged with a crime and cases have not yet been adjudicated.

I am surprised that the savage attack against an OP elder in the parking lot of that big food store on Roosevelt Road (Forest Park side) by three young people was not mentioned in the crime report! Granted, the focus here is OPRF, but it is on the border of OP.
