No American soldiers were killed in Afghanistan during the past week.

From the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, the Chicago Police Dept., and the Chicago Breaking News Center, by way of Chicago Tribune's RedEye, Thursday edition:

In the city of Chicago, the following people were killed by violence, Jan. 31-Feb. 6:   

Francisco Rufino, 22; Mario Veramontes, 31; Sixto Roman, 34; Willie Buie, 20; Markeyo Carr, 17; Corey Williams, 29

Please keep their families and others touched by violence in your thoughts and prayers.   

The following list from the detention center is sent by the Interfaith Committee for Detained Immigrants:

Also, please remember the 41 immigrant detainees at the McHenry County Jail as of Feb. 4. They are from Bosnia, El Salvador, England, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Jamaica, Lebanon, Lithuania, Liberia, Mexico, Poland, and Somalia. 

May the outcomes be positive for all of the detainees and their families.
