An Oak Park resident and former Columbia College professor was sentenced to six years in prison last week and a lifetime of supervision in a case related to child pornography, according to media reports.

In a story first reported by Wednesday Journal, Kevin Fuller, 43, was arrested in November 2009, after he e-mailed pornographic images of prepubescent boys and adults to others from a g-mail account. His Taylor Avenue home was raided, and federal authorities discovered more than 300 pictures of child pornography on his computer.

Fuller, a former professor of microbiology at Columbia, will spend six years in prison, and after release will have his computer activities monitored and tracked, according to the Chicago Tribune.

@Monti: I was wondering what that was all about: "sharing a house." I mean, was Fuller a boarder or DuMont's partner? And DuMont has no comment on this (according to the Sun-Times article I read)?! His response is very unsettling, to say the least. I would think he would express a strong emotion at the news that either his tenant or lover had gotten mixed up in such a horrific activity. It's so understated...Things that make ya go hmmm....

Guess Bruce DuMont has to find himself a new boyfriend.
