Don't put words in my mouth

Opinion: Letters To The Editor

David Gilbert's opinion piece [Who defines Israel? Viewpoints, Dec. 18] in response to my earlier Op-Ed on Israel [Israel's concern for security is justified, Viewpoints, Nov. 20], places words in my mouth and opinions in my head that I never said in that piece. That there is a "congenital anti-Semitism" among the Palestinians, as Mr. Gilbert asserts I said, is not something I believe. However, there is strong evidence of the recent widespread adoption of, and belief in, Muslim countries of the Christian propagated blood-libel where it never existed even after centuries of living together.
