Wondering how to help bring the Oak Park and Austin communities closer together?

Consider becoming a Cluster volunteer tutor.

For nearly 25 years, Cluster Tutoring has been building bridges to the Austin community and invites you to join them by tutoring a young student from that neighborhood. With 20 students on Cluster's waiting list, the need is great and the experience gratifying.

The commitment involves one 90-minute session each week through mid-May.  Volunteers can come either on

Tuesday to the Pine Avenue Church (5460 W. Augusta in Chicago) or on Thursday to the First United Church of Oak Park (848 Lake St.).  Tutoring is from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Cluster provides volunteer training and has experienced staff as well as a certified reading specialist to support our tutors and students.
