Members of Phi Sigma met at the Oak Park home of Bill and Virginia Cassin to celebrate the holidays on Friday, Dec. 9.

Phi Sigma, founded in 1878, is believed to be the oldest continuing society of its kind in the state, and Oak Park’s oldest organization. Members and guests gather together in members’ homes to hear a presentation on a subject (they vary widely) followed by a discussion and a social hour. December is reserved for a pot luck dinner and party and May for an outing to a literary, cultural or historic site in the Chicago area.

If there is an important event in your organization that you would like to see on this page, please send information and photos to Village Voyeur, Wednesday Journal, 141 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park, Il 60302, or e-mail kchen@wjinc.com.
