Fenwick swimming finishes third at Peoria

Despite being weighted down with illnesses, the Fenwick swim team finished third (183.5 points) at the Peoria Invitational on Saturday.

Diver Max Showalter finished second with a 361.50, while teammate David Durkin took third (323.35). Justin White finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.86 seconds. Zach Tieke took third in the 50 freestyle in 22.73 seconds for the Friars, who also did well in the relays.

In the 200 freestyle relay White, Tommy McGuire, Matt Bresnahan and Tieke finished third in 1:31.37. Derek Guillen, Bresnahan, Tieke, and White finished third (3:20.24) in the 400 freestyle relay.

Dunlap High School won the invitational with 241 points, while Sandburg took second with 210.
