Carolyn Potokar, 80, Ice skater, actor, travel buff

Carolyn Potokar, 80, a lifelong resident of Oak Park, died on Dec. 8, 2011 at West Suburban Hospital. She was a member of Oak Park Village Players, and she and her late husband served as extras in many locally filmed movies. She also loved to ice skate and was an avid traveler.

In addition to many friends in the area, Carolyn Potokar is survived by her nephew, Gregory (Doris) Blomberg, and her great-nephews, Christopher and Kevin Blomberg.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 27 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1101 Manchester in Westchester. Entombment will take place privately in Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Grace Lutheran Church, Westchester.
