As difficult as the process was, I am grateful for the experience. On reflection, I believe our error was attempting to change minds when it is hearts that must be changed.

@ Sandra - had our group included a half dozen people who defend the gun violence advocates we would all have spoken with one voice in our condemnation. Sadly, we all saw the same problem, but, attached blame differently and saw conflicting roads to resolution.

Sandra - I agree with you. Sadly the noblest souls often fail to realize the depth of depravity that the darkest hearts are capable of, and are not ready to accept that such things exist, much less meet those threats with an appropriate response.
