Those nice folks who brought us the shutdown

The Republicans have struck, again. Seniors, low-income families, the disabled and impoverished individuals will have their meager nutrition allowance cut now, and if the Congressional Republicans have their way, cut again later.

These cuts will impact small business. Therefore, the Chamber of Commerce is readying actions to safeguard their members.

It is time we all stood together against the draconian premise that punishes the poor for being poor while allowing the top 1 percent to continue with impunity. Call the President. Call your elected officials. Tell them to vote.

Marti Matthews who wrote Bullying is pervasive in our culture on Nov 05, and Mary Young must be one in the same.

As I remember, the evil folks you are demonizing offered Obama a deal, to avoid shutdown, if he would delay the Obamacare individual mandate for one year. Obama turned it down flat because he wanted the shutdown and as much pain as he could extract. Now your guys are feeling the heat from home and are pushing for the same deal - to save their worthless skins. Obama lied to the entire nation over and over again - now claiming we are to stupid to understand his lofty purpose. You are complicit in spreading the lies by defending a pathological liar who lies even when he doesn't need to.

This is a pretty nonsensical comment. Ms. Young, what exactly are you talking about? In the first place, the fact is that Pres Obama & the Dem's shut down all of 16% of the govt, by design. They wanted it to happen...they also created the sequester, not thinking it would actually take place. Wow, the amount of low-information voters in OP never ceases to amaze..
