East is lit, West is not, and never should they meet

Neighbors living near Keystone Park oppose the installation of additional stadium-style high-intensity field lights on the west side of Keystone Park. In the controversy about lights on the west side of Keystone Park, the fact that two baseball fields and one soccer field on the east side already have athletic lighting seems to have been understated.

Our neighborhood is still attempting to accommodate the stadium-style lights used for the first time this year on the east side of the park.

While we fully support youth soccer, and we empathize with the challenges of running this wonderful program, we oppose any erosion of our neighborhood character and the quality of our lives in an effort to turn all of Keystone Park into a fully lighted nightime athletic complex.
