A 17-year-old Oak Park boy was charged with reckless conduct after another teenager fell off the back of his moving car on Saturday, Oct. 29, police said.

Police are still investigating the incident, which occurred in the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Oak Park police Commander LaDon Reynolds said the driver told police he was surrounded by about 15 other juveniles that were banging on his vehicle and shaking it. He tried to remove himself from the situation by driving away, Reynolds said, and the victim, also 17, fell off. The victim sustained a head injury.

The driver turned himself into police Tuesday. He was processed and turned over to a parent.
