Village President David Pope and trustees Ray Johnson, Greg Marsey:

Thank you for having the vision to support the Citizen's Committee plan to revitalize Downtown Oak Park.

Some facts:

- I am an Oak Park business owner (22 years) and homeowner (30 years).

- Because of the real estate tax issue, I cannot justify property acquisition within Oak Park. The cost/benefit ratio does not justify the move. I am looking outside the village to relocate my growing business.

- Some Oak Park homeowners are relocating to Forest Park.

- I personally spent $865 on retail purchases in River Forest last Saturday. I spent $22 in Oak Park at the Farmers' Market.

Improving tax revenues is critical to the survival of Oak Park. Hold firm.
