The St. Luke Parish Women's and Men's Clubs welcomed new and returning members with two separate golf outings in September.

The Men's Club outing, a 70-year tradition in the parish, was held Sept. 7 at Maple Meadows. It drew over 120 golfers representing multiple generations of St. Luke families. Fr. Kenneth Fischer, St. Luke's pastor, joined the crowd for dinner and fellowship. A lively auction raised over $1,000 to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Two weeks later, the Women's Club held its first golf outing at Sugar Creek. Over 50 women joined in the non-competitive fun, followed by a friendly lunch. Colleen Navigato, who coordinated the outing along with Mary Anne Gleason and Mary Beth McIntosh, said, "We had a great turnout in our first golf outing. Everyone had fun and enjoyed getting to know each other better."
