A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who joined us at the 2nd Annual Pleasant District Family Triathlon. This year's race was a smashing success with twice as many teams as last year, and we could not have done it without you. We appreciate your willingness to wake up super-early, obey the sound ordinance, and jump in wherever was needed. A special shout-out to the OPRF High School football team for sending players to help out on race day.

Ruben Figueres, one of our participants, has competed in more than 200 triathlons in several countries, having represented Spain and the USA in five different world championships, including Ironman Hawaii. Check out what he had to say about the Pleasant District Family Triathlon:

"Hands down, best kids race of the year. The unique team format allows the kids to race next to their parents and gives it a more relaxed atmosphere. I wouldn't be surprised to see this format become more and more popular. And kudos to the race coordinators and volunteers for giving it a warm touch with their attention to detail and great communication."

On behalf of Greenline Wheels, West Cook YMCA, and Competitive Foot, thank you!
