Mary Grace Bozzi, 86
Traveler, painter, animal lover
Mary Grace Bozzi (nee Morbette), 86, died on Oct. 13, 2013. Born on March 23, 1927, and raised in Chicago, she lived in Oak Park for over 40 years. As a young adult, she bravely faced tuberculosis. Her daughters attended St. Giles, and she volunteered at the school, becoming a Girl Scout troupe leader. She spent her later years painting, traveling the world and enjoying her role as grandmother.
Mary Grace Bozzi is survived by her daughters, Vicki Curran and Valerie (James) Plomin; her grandchildren, Neil (Heather Sheets) Curran and Alicia and Kirsten Plomin; and her great-grandchildren, Mia and Jack Curran. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Vito Michael Bozzi Jr.
A memorial Mass was celebrated on Oct. 19 at St. Giles Church in Oak Park, with private interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate, or your favorite animal care organization are appreciated. Arrangements were handled by Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home.
