Frederick F. Bone, 73, of Valparaiso and formerly of Oak Park, died on Oct. 15, 2013 at his home. Born on Jan. 29, 1940, he graduated from Adrian High School and received a B.S. from the University of Michigan. Fred was an accountant and controller with NORC in Chicago and retired in 2003. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Unitarian Church of Hobart, Ind.

Frederick Bone is survived by his wife, Mary Pat Roach; his children, Jenifer (Joe) Banks and David Bone (Gail Malenfent); his grandchildren, Rose Banks and Lily Bone; his sisters-in-law, Terri Roach and Kathy (Steve) Anderson; his nephew, Rick (Lisa) Roach; his great-grandniece, Allison; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at First Unitarian Church, 497 Main St., Hobart, IN 46342.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nature Conservancy or First Unitarian Church. Additional information is available at
