Remember with sorrow and gratitude the sacrifices by U.S. soldiers whose lives were lost in Operation Enduring Freedom, Oct. 5-10.

In the city of Chicago, the following people were killed by violence during the seven days, Oct. 4-10:

Louis Wherry, 36; Arlanders Watkins, 46; Cory Atwater, 19; Jamal Harmon, 19; Tavache Kizer, 38; Salomon Morales, 24; Ashton Pugh, 24; Sylvester Solomon, 27; Darrius Morris, 23; Abdullah Trull, 16; Marjorie Ivy, 70; Eddie Murphy, 21; Reginald Jackson, 22.
