Tess Trinka led the OPRF tennis team at the West Suburban (Silver) Conference Meet held at Lyons Township last weekend by placing second overall at No. 2 singles.
The Huskies finished fifth as a team at the meet, but received strong performances from Ese Davis (fourth, No. 3 singles) and fifth-place finishers Samantha Schafer (No. 1 singles), Emma Forman/Ann Ryan (No. 1 doubles), Hannah Meyer/Kate McCole (No. 2 doubles) Meg Ramette/Allie Zelby (No. 3 doubles) and Julie Klock/Audrey Springer (No. 4 doubles).
The Huskies host the Oak Park Sectional beginning this Friday.
OPRF girls cross-country
Erin Schrobilgen finished third with a time of 18:40 in the Huskies' tri-meet against Downers Grove North and Proviso West last week.
Other top finishers for OPRF included Kate Ritter (ninth, 20:17), Katie Kurtz (10th, 20:20) and Carolina Cotton (11th, 20:29).
The Huskies finished second in the meet.
OPRF boys golf
Led by Joe McKune's 77 and Alex Decorrevont's 78, the Huskies finished third at the St. Ignatius Regional held at Pine Meadows last week. Other OPRF scores included Dan Wojtak (84), Eric Cybulski (85), Peter Hayes (86) and Connor Toye (88).

The Friars edged Providence 2-1 last week behind goals by Joe Fahey and Quinn Smith.
The victory pushed Fenwick's Catholic League record to 3-3 on the season.
Sophomore Jack Alberts, who broke his right leg during Fenwick's loss to Oak Park on Oct. 1, will begin therapy and rehabbing the limb in four-to-six weeks, according to head coach Robert Watson.
"His spirits seem good," said Watson, who added that Alberts suffered no ankle or knee damage. "He is a very, very tough kid."

The Friars finished second at the St. Ignatius Regional. Jack Sloan shot a 78, while Vince Mohawk posted a 79.
Kelly Brennan's eight kills led the Friars to a 25-23, 24-26, 25-22 victory over Providence last week. Courtney Ryan added seven kills, while Sarah Hunt chipped in seven kills of her own to go along with seven blocks.
The Friars also battled Nazareth to a 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 victory last week. Hunt led Fenwick with 12 kills, while Brennan added eight and Rachel Best seven. Jenna Vondrasek dished out 23 assists.
The Friars placed fourth at the Barrington Invitational last week.
Mimi Scheider won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.93 seconds, and placed second in the 50-yard free with a time of 23.40 seconds. Veroncia Gibson finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.09), while Paulina Kaminski placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.71).
The Friars finished third at the East Suburban Catholic Conference Meet last week.
All Fenwick's doubles pairs played up to their No. 3 seeds, with third place finishes at both No. 2, where Catherine Joss and Julia Mastrangeli defeated Providence 7-6,6-4; and No. 3, where Sheila Mullen and Molly Ray defeated Nazareth 6-2, 6-3.
