A group of Oak Park and River Forest High School students will host an art auction next spring to help raise money for the organization they started last year to support global women's education.

The women's literature class at OPRF is planning its art auction from 7 to 9 p.m. March 26, at OPRF, 201 N. Scoville.

The students are seeking donations from local art galleries and artists, and from the high school.

They're looking to raise money for Students for Equal Education (SEE), which began as a class project; its focus is on supporting women's education.

Their group has since been recognized as an official affiliate of Campaign for Female Education, or CamFed, a global nonprofit organization.

The students have been holding various fundraisers over the last year, raising nearly $1,700.
