OPRF's senior swimmers celebrated their final home meet by setting three pool records in a 112-74 win over Downers Grove North on Friday.

The 200 medley relay group of seniors Kyle Patnode, Nathan Pimentel, Nikita Bondarenko and junior Mark Hallman won in 1:37.60. Patnode, Bondarenko, Hallman and Alexander Darnall swam to a record time of 1:28.12 in the 200 freestyle relay. Patnode also marked up the record books with a 51:19 in the 100 butterfly.

The Huskies closed out the regular season on the following day with a second place finish at the Lyons Township Invitational.

Bondarenko (4:40.80) and Hallman (4:53.19) finished first and second respectively in the 500 freestyle. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Patnode, James Kelly, Hallman and Bondarenko took first in 3:14.90.

"I was very pleased with how we did considering the big emotional and physical night they had the night before," said OPRF head coach Clyde Lundgren. "That's actually great preparation for the state prelims and finals. We had some really nice set-up swims for sectionals and state."
