Jay Leno referenced the Oak Park and River Forest High School student in the news this week for allegedly creating and circulating a list ranking girls on their physical appearance and sexual experience. Clueless, I do not condemn the boy; I don't know him. The fact that he continues his conduct despite having suffered severe consquences suggests that he has a psychological problem, "pleasant" guy or not. But your comments complete omit the issue of how the lists affect the girls who the subject of the lists. That omission makes it impossible to respect your view of the matter.

@certainlyclueless clever name,it almost makes me not want to disagree with you. but its just so hard not to. punishment does nothing to stop this kid. he was expelled for a whole year last time he did this. he's his own person and no one's gonna change him. its an admirable quality but its also his fatal flaw. he's really a nice guy and gets along with pretty much everyone. he just also makes lists. nothing he did here was much different from a tabloid newspaper. people are overreacting.

I thought the list was funny ahhh so does every damn boy in the school. If no one noticed it was a publicity stunt, and it succeeded. Dont blame jay leno for making jokes about a sitituation that shouldnt have blown up this big. Tsk tsk this shows that the world has bigger concerns to take care of, not a petty list

@Eleanor: Again, a girl or woman who CHOOSES to do the catwalk in her swimsuit and be judged for appearance is a world away from someone taking it upon himself to make a list and circulate it. The intent was obviously to humiliate these girls. It sounds like he has issues with women since he also railed against the female gender in the student center and posted it on Youtube, which was where I discovered this Jay Leno bit.

@ Clueless Oh please. Some people certainly do make mistakes, but this is the THIRD time that he has publicly published such a list, and he needs to learn that denigrating and insulting others in one of the most demeaning ways possible will not be tolerated.

You people clearly know nothing about the student who wrote the list. He's actually a pleasant guy and really funny. Yes, making the list was a poor choice, and there were things he wrote in there that weren't so nice, but what high school aged boy hasn't made a bad choice? He's on good terms with many of the girls on the list, and he was one of the most beloved students at our school. he will be missed dearly.

Jay leno this isn't something to joke about. You're now making yourself look immature as well as this kid who did this type of stuff to teenage girls. Your show may be about jokes and making people laugh, but this is not a joke at all. You're giving this kid what he wants. I think you should rethink about what you had said on this show and apologize. How would you feel if you were one of those teenage girls rated and disrespected? Have some respect and feelings to things like this!

It should be noted that there are beauty pageants for women and girls of all ages; it's not reserved for women that old. At least Leno is illuminating the obvious parallels between these two degrading events.

Once again, Jay proves how clueless and unfunny he is. Dear Jay, there's a difference between 15 year old girls and 25 year old women. There's also a BIG difference between choosing as an adult to participate in a beauty contest and having someone post sexual and racial insults about you on the Internet. We all know this guy lacks integrity and any sense of decency. This joke is the latest example of a man who just doesn't care about other human beings.
