Mary B. McCormack, 94, of Ottawa, died on Jan. 1, 2013 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Born in LaSalle to Adam and Helen (Wylepski) Rachwalski, she married Eugene McCormack on May 6, 1939, at St. Columba Rectory. She worked for and retired from Illinois Office Supply and also owned McCormack's Tap. She was also a member of St. Mary's Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and the Graphic Arts Union.

Mary McCormack is survived by her children, Linda (Ronald) Samolinski, Teresa (Michael) Brunick, and Eugene "Skip" (Nancy) McCormack of Oak Park; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Harold (Phyllis) Rafalski and Eugene (Jan) Rafalski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McCormack; and her siblings, Ray, Joe, Florence (in infancy), Sophie Redlich, and Vernie Peterson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Jan. 5, at St. Mary's Church in Naplate with Rev. Jules Adator officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial took place at St. Columba Cemetery.
