Isabella Elizabeth Escobar, 9, formerly of Oak Park, died peacefully in the arms of her family on Jan. 10, 2014. Born on Aug. 6, 2004 in Chicago, she was the first-born daughter of Rafael and Betsy Escobar. Isabella gave a lifetime of love during her short time on Earth. She was always excited, exuded happiness, and filled her family's hearts with joy. She lived on Edmer Avenue in Oak Park and her former neighbors held a gathering to honor her after hearing the news.
Bella Escobar is survived by her parents, Rafael and Betsy; her siblings, Rafa and Vivi; her maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Gillmor and Robert and Maria; and her paternal grandparents, Alberto and Rosa Escobar.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E. Whitestone in Cedar Park, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please support the Realm of Caring Foundation, P.O. Box 15224, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80935. An open house and celebration of Bella's life for family and friends is planned on Jan. 16 at the Westin Austin at the Domain. Please come in light-colored clothing, feel free to bring pictures, and share memories.
