"Anyone who wants to own a gun has issues."

"Anyone who hates guns has issues."

"I want to defend myself until the police arrive."

"The police will protect me."

"Guns have no place in a civilized society."

"I keep a loaded gun beside my bed at night." (No kids in the house.)

"A criminal with a gun may get shot if civilians in the vicinity have guns."

"Law-abiding citizens do get shot when criminals are the only ones with guns."

"Guns scare me."

"Why does my owning a gun and handling it safely have anything to do with you, let alone scaring you?"

"Why would anyone need a magazine with more than a 10-round capacity?"

"The appropriate magazine capacity is one more round than you fire when defending yourself with a gun."

"If a criminal pulls a gun, and civilians have guns, everyone will start shooting."

"If a criminal sees a gun, he will move on to easier pickings."

"Less than 10 assault weapons kill and injure several dozen people each year."

"More than 4,000,000 legally-owned assault weapons injure no one each year."

"Tens of thousands of guns are used in criminal activity each year."

"Over 300,000,000 legally-owned guns are not used in criminal activity each year."

"I want to decrease gun violence in the United States."

"I want to increase gun violence in the United States." (Faked you out – Even criminals don't say this!)

"Criminals and the dangerously mentally ill are responsible for the vast majority of gun violence each year."

"Criminals and the dangerously mentally ill are responsible for the vast majority of gun violence each year."

Wait, everyone actually agrees on something!

It looks like the only thing holding up action is the other guy dealing with his/her issues.
