Oak Park police arrested a 17-year-old Lisle resident in Naperville last week for allegedly sexually assaulting a family member at a relative's home in Oak Park.

Armani M. Finley, of the 4700 block of Hill Trail Drive in Lisle, was arrested on Jan. 11 at the Naperville school he attends shortly after 1 p.m. Oak Park Police Commander LaDon Reynolds would not give the name of the school.

Reynolds said Finley sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl on Dec. 23, but police are not releasing specific details. The girl told a juvenile family member about the incident who then told an adult. Reynolds would not say if other people were home at the time of the incident.

Information given to police indicates there was a pattern of abuse, which may have gone on for two years, by Finley toward the victim.

Reynolds said he didn't know if all the incidents in the pattern were sexual in nature.

Detectives working the case have referred the family to social services, Reynolds said.

Finley, who does not have a prior criminal record, is being held in Cook County Jail with his bond set at $500,000.

He is due in court Jan. 20 in Maywood.
