Clifford Ivan Becker, 80, of River Forest, died on Dec. 30, 2010. Raised in Amboy, he attended Loras College, served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and raised his family in Oak Park. After a long career with IBM, he became a Realtor with Gagliardo. A member of St. Giles Catholic Church in Oak Park, he was active in Boy Scouts, the Men's Club, the Bereavement Ministry and the St. Pius Soup Kitchen.
He enjoyed time spent with his nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. Most of all, he loved Pat (nee O'Rourke), his wife of 60 years, and cared for her well.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John (Margalee), Kathryn Chomko, Cliff Jr. (Kristine) and Justin (Julia) Becker; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Megan, Kalyn, Patrick, Tyler, Rayanna, Lucinda, Clara and Ivan; and his sister, Charlene (the late Dick) Kelly. He was the brother of the late Melvin (Lucille), the late Norbert (the late Evelyn) and the late Geraldine (Jim) Dickinson.
Visitation was held at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home on Jan. 5, 2011. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Giles on Jan. 6. A second visitation was held that day at Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, followed by interment on Jan. 7 at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.
