Berwyn's famous music venue, FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt, has played host to several legendary musicians, but also gives up-and-coming artists a chance to share their talent. EXPOSURE is local musician John Fancher's effort to showcase new artists from the Chicago area, and tonight features Oak Park resident Dave Kay. Kay's performance, starting at 8 p.m., will be backed up by Jon Paul, Chris Neville, Dan Leali of Tributosaurus and Jon Williams of the Blue Line Riders. An egg-cellent way to spend a Saturday
River Forest United Methodist Church and Mosaic Montessori Academy host an Easter Eggstravaganza this Saturday, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. Families with children 10 and younger are invited to this Easter celebration, featuring an egg hunt, face-painting, egg-coloring and more. No Easter Eggstravaganza would be complete without an appearance from the Easter bunny. Peter Cottontail will be available for pictures, so bring your camera! Easter Eggstravaganza takes place at River Forest United Methodist Church, 7970 W. Lake St. Tickets are $5 per child, $10 per family and reservations are appreciated but not necessary. Meet Oak Park and River Forest's reptile residents
Did you know the Chicago area is home to many native reptiles, including the snapping turtle and fox snake? The Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake St., is hosting a special Earth Day program on native reptile species presented by Trailside Museum this Friday, April 22 at 11 a.m. Learn all about the turtles and snakes that live in the area; what they look like, what they eat, and where they live. You'll even get a chance to meet a reptile up close. The program is for age 4 and up and registration is available at the library.
