Really smart pigeons still pooping in Oak Park

It is back to the drawing board for the Rube Goldberg engineers who are tasked with keeping pigeons from pooping all over the pristine railroad viaduct that connects the two halves of the $10 million newly gilt stretch of Marion Street.

Imagine this. We invest the last nickels of the TIF in fanciness squared and then can't scare off the damned birds who defile our splendor! This viaduct has been pigeon-proofed up the wazoo with wires and nets affixed to every nook and cranny. The cost so far is $7,500. And still ... they come.

Why just this viaduct and not the one at Ridgeland or Austin or Oak Park Avenue? Must be the bluestone.
