Headed by Gina Diaz, Diaz Case Law PC looks to help others pursue and achieve the American Dream. The firm's services in immigration law have a personal tie-in for Diaz, who was born in Mexico and came to America at five years old. Although she is a proud U.S. citizen, she knows the struggles that undocumented people face on a daily basis. "There are many people feeling scared because of their immigration status, so they need to seek out a lawyer now more than ever for just about everything they do—from encounters with ICE to buying a home," Diaz explains. The firm understands immigration laws and can properly guide those in need every step of the way.
The Berwyn Development Corporation's (BDC) Berwyn's Best competition began in mid-January and was fixed on finding the best wings. Ten establishments with wings on their regular menus competed to make it into the Top 5 of wing-tossing establishments. These five local haunts submitted their fan favorite wings for the second round of voting and now the vote is in! The winner is Cigars and Stripes BBQ Lounge for their Smoked Wings: 7 wings hand cut, rubbed and smoked. Each serving of wings comes with corn salsa & garlic bread and your choice of bleu cheese or ranch on the side.
The Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) presented Heritage Middle School with a philanthropic grant for their VEX Robotics Team. The grant provided the school with funds to provide materials for and participate in the VEX Robotics Competition In The Zone (vexrobotics.com/vexedr/competition/vrc-current-game). The competition consists of two alliances (two teams per alliance) whose goal is to attain a higher score than the opposing alliance. The alliances use their robots to compete in matches consisting of various challenging tasks such as stacking cones on goals and scoring mobile goals in goal zones.
