Zambonie's is under new ownership as of April 2010! Jim Swatos, a River Forest native and current resident, and his wife AnnMarie are excited about the future of the bar as well as being a part of the Madison Street Community. They intend on changing the name and remodeling in Spring of 2011. Currently, the bar boasts 10 new 50" flatscreens, new paint & has been extensively cleaned up. Zambonie's menu is all new, and includes pizza, which is freshly made daily and baked on a stone. In fact, most of their menu items are freshly made, from handmade and seasoned burgers, to homemade meatballs and pico de gallo and gaucamole. They even make their own tortilla chips, too! Karaoke is very popular and is on Thursday and Saturday nights. Live local bands are coming this fall on Friday nights. They have a large outdoor patio coming in the Spring also with the remodel. Zambonie's has daily drink and food specials and is open for lunch starting at 11. The kitchen stays open late on the weekends. Great drink prices, friendly bartenders & awesome food....that's what Zambonie's is all about!
