In 2006 my wife, Andra and I, bought our house in Oak Park. With two young girls (Alex, 9 and Sydney, 5), our list of desires and needs were extensive, but Oak Park had it all. Excellent schools, cultural relevance, proximity to Chicago, and the extraordinary sense of community. It was a no-brainer. We wouldn't have been happier anywhere else.

My wife and I have long worked in downtown Chicago. As I own and operate Urban Union on Taylor Street, my commute is effortless. I get on 290, and in ten minutes, I'm at my restaurant. It couldn't be more perfect. I love that all of us in Oak Park and River Forest continue to embrace our family-friendly towns, while celebrating and enjoying the world-class Chicago food scene in our very own backyard. 
 
I bring 20-plus years of experience to my position as owner and executive chef, having earned international acclaim for my rustic approach to fine dining cuisine.

At Urban Union, I bring a lifelong dream to fruition, showcasing my passion for food and wine through sensible, seasonal and foundationally solid menus that put a personal mark on my approach to European-style dining.

I like the look of that rolled meat dish with the arugula on top.

Chef- Thanks for offering such a unique, welcoming taste of the Mediterranean, in such a friendly spot...and wines on tap, how can you lose?!
