I travel, eat food, and write about it. The job is actually a little harder than it might sound, but not by much. Many people have said to me, only half in jest, "I want your job."
Well, you should know right up front that like most fun jobs, it doesn't pay much.
But if you like to travel and eat and write, come to TECHMunch this Friday, June 27, starting at 9AM at University of Chicago's Gleacher Center in River North (450 N Cityfront Plaza Dr; it's an easy shot via Green Line to State and Lake).
TECHMunch is a traveling food blogger conference produced by BakeSpace.com, which is a publishing and conference production company that brings together people who are passionate about cooking and the culinary lifestyle. The core BakeSpace.com online community has been described by USA Today as "the closest thing to a Facebook-like food site.
TECHMunch is designed to provide food bloggers with the tools to create great content, build a loyal following and "turn their passion into profit."
I'll be opening the conference this coming Friday, and I'll be talking about how I find stories to write about.
The event organizers have issued me a few free tickets to distribute. If you'd like to come to this event, no charge, just post below or email me at David@DCHammond.com.
