We’re at the tail end of the Girl Scout cookie season, so it’s time to pick favorites.
I have to admit, over the years, I’ve come to feel Girl Scout cookies are fine but not, I dunno, great. I realize this is a little like saying I’m not that enthusiastic about mom’s apple pie, but mass-produced cookies in general just don’t do that much for me.
There is, however, something to be said for tradition. Girl Scout cookies are a harbinger of spring as surely as the green sprouts poking up from still cold earth. So we always get way more boxes than we really should.
My favorite Girl Scout cookies are the Thin Mints. We keep them in the freezer, of course, to amplify the cool mintiness.
So what’s your favorite Girl Scout cookie? I bet it’s the thin mint.
