In my experience, the finest cheese is artisanal: hand-crafted using traditional techniques…and not cheap. Still, even in this economy, people are buying a lot of this artisanal cheese, and when you taste it you’ll know, as Lance said in Pulp Fiction, “where that extra money went.”

In this segment, which aired this morning on WBEZ (91.5FM), I talk to several local cheesemongers, including Lydia Burns of Marion Street Cheese market: you can listen here, http://www.wbez.org/episode-segments/2011-10-11/celebrating-national-cheese-month-david-hammond-93039
