As of 5:05 p.m., power was restored to all 1,511 customers who were in the dark after an unexplained outage around 3:45 p.m., according to a ComEd spokeswoman. The cause of the power outage was still under investigation as of 5:15 p.m., she added.
A hearing Tuesday to decide whether Oak Park should legalize beekeeping was canceled, after the local board of health couldn't get enough members to attend. But it was too early to say, Tuesday morning, when the meeting might be rescheduled.

A village trustee is vacating his seat on the Oak Park board, just over a year after taking the position. Trustee Ernest Moore, who has taken a job just north of Dallas, will step down from his position in Oak Park next week after attending his final board meeting Monday. Moore joined the board last June, taking over for Martha Brock.
Libraries are collaborators, not competitors, which is why the Oak Park Library is lending a hand to its River Forest counterpart while the latter searches for a new executive director. River Forest's previous director, Dawn Bussey, left the library in March to take the directorship at Glen Ellyn Public Library.
