A cooperative of local school districts — including Forest Park District 91 and River Forest District 90 — which share special education resources and assists with federal grants may vote to dissolve next month.
Forest Park police arrested a man early Monday morning and charged him with robbing and burglarizing three antique stores on Madison Street within the past three months. Oak Park police also charged Carl Griffin, 44, of Chicago, with a convenience store burglary on Aug. 11.
Three Oak Park BP gas stations in may have sold tainted gasoline for two weeks in August. On Wednesday, BP released an updated list of gas stations that sold "off-specification" gasoline produced at the Whiting, Ind., refinery. This includes the stations at 203 Madison, 6119 W. North Ave. and 727 N. Harlem Ave in Oak Park.
Two brothers interested in medicine: One looked west, one looked east. The Harris brothers, Matthew and Mitchell are both doctors, of a sort. Matthew Harris is a board-certified dermatologist while Mitchell is board-certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
