A $1,000 contribution to the Communityworks Endowment Fund turned into $2,000 on Sunday, thanks to more than 200 people who took part in the "Putting for Philanthropy" challenge at A Day in Our Village.
Mrs. Maryann Sklaney will retire from Ascension School after teaching first grade there for forty years. Ascension will hold a reception for Mrs. Sklaney on Sunday, June 5 at noon in the school's Pine Room.
