The Interrupters, a documentary about three violence-prevention advocates who confront crime in some of Chicago's most dangerous neighborhoods, won an Emmy at the 34th Annual News and Documentary Awards for Outstanding Informational Programming—Long Form on Oct. 1.
Percy Julian Middle School hosts a legislative forum Wednesday Oct. 9, featuring state representatives LaShawn Ford and Camille Lilly, and state senators Don Harmon and Kimberly Lightford. The event is scheduled for 7:30-9 p.m. at Julian, 416 S. Ridgeland. The forum is sponsored by Oak Park elementary school District 97.
Oak Park and River Forest High School celebrated Homecoming last weekend with a football game against Glenbard West on Friday Oct. 4. Though Glenbard West won the game 20-14, OPRF's sophomore team beat the Hilltoppers 55-20.

No one has it all together. That's the overarching message of 'Enough Said', a film about two divorced parents trying to make a relationship with one another work. The film stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and former Soprano's star the late James Gandolfini.
