Do you know some kids want their schools to provide random drug-testing as a tool to say “NO” to peer pressure? Are you aware that passive drug-sniffing dogs are a way to keep kids safe while educating them about substance abuse? Are you aware that 11 out of 14 high schools in the Chicagoland area have closed campuses?
Students looking to beat a drug test at school will do various things, including going cold turkey for a day or week prior to testing; that is, if they know when the testing is done. Several speakers at Wednesday’s drug awareness forum at River Forest Community Center, warned, however, that those tricks aren’t that effective.
