Opening our compost bin, I’m sometimes amazed by the amount of crawling, flying and hopping life in there: worms, flies, and insects of unknown determination have made a home in the mess of stuff we didn’t eat…and they’re turning it into compost that we use in our garden.
The lone remaining bookstore in downtown Oak Park issued a letter to customers Tuesday, calling news of Borders closing “devastating,” and asking patrons how The Book Table can better serve the community in the future.
Kids, to me, are the most amusing, interesting people, and I’m usually fine with them making all the noise they want. It’s understandable, though, that some diners find children’s behavior offensive – and their doting parents irresponsible. Some restaurants have taken action to make sure diners are not disturbed by boisterous children.
