The OPRF football team fell 24-13 to Hinsdale Central, wiping away any chance at making the playoffs this season. The Fenwick football team downed Providence 17-7 for its first ever victory over the Celtics.
The OPRF boys cross-country team’s bid to unseat York from its dominance over the Huskies in dual meets for the last nine years fell short yesterday at Schiller Woods. Top-ranked OPRF lost 25-31 to the No. 2-ranked Dukes, who the Huskies defeated at the Peoria Invitational just two weeks ago.
OPRF soccer coach Paul Wright confirmed today that starting goalkeeper Sam Euler will not play in Friday night’s showdown against cross-town rival Fenwick at Oak Park Stadium (7 p.m.) and the senior may be out for the remainder of the season.
The time has come. The top-ranked OPRF boys cross-country team will go head-to-head — or foot-to-foot — with No. 2-ranked York today, (Sept. 30, 4:30 p.m.) on the Huskies’ home course at Schiller Woods, Irving Park Rd. and Cumberland Ave.
