If you are easily intimidated by the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market, the Midweek Market might be the gateway for you. Today is your last chance of the seson to check it out.  There are fresh vegetables, both organic and conventional (and all local), to be sure.  There’s also music, crafts, restaurants offering prepared food. Add the beer and wine booth and you have an atmosphere that is more about party than parsnips.

Enjoy a last taste of summer at the Midweek Market on Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot on Lake Street just east of Harlem.  The first hour of parking is free at the nearby Holley Court lot.

And consider taking home a fresh, locally grown heirloom tomato or two.
