The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association presents The Avalon String Quartet during its Wednesday Afternoon Series on Sept. 11.
The Quartet will perform an "exciting, compelling and intellectual" series pairing six Bartok Quartets with music from the composer's extensive career.
Nationally recognized, the Avalon String Quartet performs 50 – 60 concerts each year. Some are performed at the Art Institute, others at varied venues.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 4:00 p.m. Concert attendees are suggested to give a $15 donation. Cash refreshments will be available.
