Yesterday we paid a brief visit to Trailside Museum in Thatcher Woods.  What really caught my attention was this assemblage mounted on the wall inside the museum.  It reminded me of bug boxes that I have seen that are built to provide extra niches for native pollinators - and others.    

Well, winter is on the way. This looks like an easy woodworking project that could enable you creative types to  a) recycle some of that excess scrap wood you have laying around, and b) build something that could attract benficial insects to your garden.  As the youngsters would say it sounds like a win-win.
