This is the weekend bibliophiles and biblio-holics wait for all year, the annual Friends of the Oak Park Public Library Book Fair, held in the OPRF High School South Cafeteria. The earlybirds pay an admission fee ($5) to get first crack on Friday night, literally sprinting to find books that have more than just reading value.

But Saturday (free admission) is the main event, as avid readers browse to their heart's content among myriad titles and categories, all somehow organized by a dedicated corps of volunteers.

Books can get you through our long winters. Now's the time to stock up. Proceeds from the sale benefit library programs.
