Don't Mess With Bob The Builder

I was intrigued by the negative responses to the Pleasant (nee South Marion) Business District's event last Saturday to let there be supervised access to the big  equipment at the construction site. Any one who has been around little children knows that diggers, cranes and dump trucks are big deals for them. The chance to stand next to one is huge.

Now this being Oak Park there has to be criticism of most anything that has anything to do with the Village. Even this.  Some of it comes from haters who will criticize anything involving the Village. Some from people who feel compelled to comment on EVERYTHING. Please.  Just give it a rest. Everyone has opinions. They just don't share every one of them. Except the afore-mentioned,  and crazy people who ride the El late at night.

John Hubbauch, you must ride the L late at night. You are once again sharing your own opinions with others. I know Sponge Bob, and the kids get to not only stand a take a picture with him, but always hug him if they want. Enjoy your L ride tonight, and don't be concerned about being crazy, that's just your own opinion yourself.

I'll stand in the line with folks who post comments and ask questions on a regular basis. This forum provides residents, taxpayers and interested parties an opportunity to express their opinions and engage in a civil and public discourse. It's not perfect but is still of interest to many of us. Maybe you might want to take that rest you're prescribing for others or consider submitting a formal complaint to the forum moderator. Keep a copy for your records.

That is an interesting statement coming from someone who's posts are almost entirely made up of rants and gripes...
