Ascension School students and their parents and parishioners over the past couple of years have established a connection with a Catholic church in Zambia, Africa and helped fund a health clinic there. To say thanks, the local priest there, Rev. Andrew Phiri paid a visit, speaking at last Sundays Masses. He led off his homily saying that when Americans ask him about his accent and where he's from, he always answers, "Minnesota," which never fails to break the ice.
